CAMP VERDE, AZ

This past weekend we headed up north to my parents house in Camp Verde, AZ. If I had to describe the setting, it's somewhere between desert and mountains. I like it because it feels like we are going out of town but really it's only an hour away and if we make good time we can make it in 45 minutes. We usually make a weekend or night out of it, and I love that I get to relax too!

This trip we went to Prescott Valley for the day on Saturday. It was cooler weather and we hit a place called Freedom Station. It's a family play place and the kids had a blast! They have an indoor "treehouse" climbing thing, games, mini-golf, and bumper cars. We only tackled the "treehouse" but were lucky enough that they were having some type of beach party so they had lots of blow up houses (wet and dry) outside to conquer. Cutter and Christian were thoroughly entertained!

Going to my parents house is the best because the boys pretty much get to do whatever makes them happy! I am usually parked at the kitchen table reading a magazine so I guess when I am not looking this is what happens....

One of their favorite things to do is to jump on or I should say off the bed. Of course this always seems to be the best activity and always timed perfect at bedtime. I want them to chill and they want to go NUTS!!! I swear they are going to break their necks one of these days! They have their own room up there, which my mom so beautifully painted and decorated with an outdoor bearscape to it, BUT Cutter sleeps in our room, on a mattress moved in from their room. So it really brings the whole jumping thing into a new realm of craziness! As I said before..."oh the joys of boys!"

Needless to say we had a great time and the weather was nice too! We thought we would get a storm but it passed us. Of course when we were leaving today it started to rain! Excellent! Thanks mom and dad for a great time and all the food!!! Hopefully we'll be back soon!

10 days and counting....

10 days until our 7 PM kickoff!!! Each day we are getting closer and I think I might have found my football shirt for this coming up season. I've put my vanity aside the last couple years, but this year I am really letting it go and just going with the whole football fan casual wear. T-shirt/shorts or T-shirt/jeans depending on weather. I just might even bust out a hat once and awhile to really make it easy. Especially because the beginning games are so freakin' HOT! Oh the things I do to spend time with my hubby!

ANYWAY...this whole post started when the boys put on hats and I started thinking a dress up blog! Now, I don't have girls so when my boys put on hats and start letting me take pics with props, then that's our boy version of dress up. I got to switch their looks between hats and a football. However, in the end it was lame! SOOOO...let's just post some pics and continue on with our ASU football countdown. (My creativity may be fading just a bit.)

I guess if the boys are lucky they may get to take their "looks" (let me remind you by "looks" I mean their hat wear) to an actual game. We'll see...as it is nice mommy/daddy friend time. Cutter did make his first football game appearance last year so I guess we should consider it. Let's see how the season goes...shall we?!

TGIF!!! Seriously...TGIF!!!

Oh, thank goodness it's Friday!!! We made it through the week and now know what to expect next week. I guess I will spend this week creating a routine. Cutter had a good first week at school. No complaints and he was more than willing to go back everyday. WOO HOO!!! Christian even got to get in on the action and attended his school today for the first time as well. He is going to Cutter's old school one day a week. His teacher said he was an ANGEL today! (I thought for sure she was mixed up and thought she had Cutter and not crazy Christian.) So that was good news to me, because now that he's made it through the audition I get one morning a week all to myself!!! WHAT TO DO??? WHAT TO DO???

Happy Friday and have a great great weekend!!!

FIRST DAY of SCHOOL!!!

And here it is the first day of Pre-K for Cutter! I was a little worried we weren't going to have good morning time getting it together and we were tight. No matter how much planning I do, we never have enough time. We made it to school right when the first bell rang, due to a straw meltdown and Christian falling face first onto the street! NICE! Anyway, we got Cutter situated and headed on our way. I did find myself getting a little teary eyed as we walked away a family of 3 instead of 4 but then...REALITY...geez' he'll be done in 2 1/2 hours!!! Get a grip mom!!! It was overall a good morning and I am sure Cutter is having a good time!!!

MY NEW PEEPS!!!

Ok my friends, meet my new friends, Jamie and Paige. I know you've heard about them but now you have faces to go with the names. They are GREAT! I finally met some friends in Anthem with kids my kids ages. I met Paige in a running class, and I met Jamie at swim lessons. Both have recently moved to Anthem and we have been having some good times together. They are both good at getting out, so really they had their hands full with me. Most of you know I am not one who frolics about and frankly I am a bit of a homebody. I like being at home where life if easy! So props to them for really bringing me out of my shell a bit. Maybe next summer I will actually hit the pool with them. :)

Today was another fun day and we hit Dave and Buster's in Desert Ridge for some end of the summer fun. The kids could run wild and not be in anyone's way and we got to actually hang out and TALK! Shocker! Thank you D and B for being kid friendly!!!

Cutter not feeling it...I guess he just wanted to chill.

Just like his mama, Christian and Ms. Pac Man.

Funny Faces

All good things come to an end...

THANK YOU GIRLS for busting my butt to get out and play!!!

SCHOOL DAYS ARE COMING!!!

Big night tonight for Cutter...it was "meet the teacher night" for school! Come August 17, he will be starting Pre-K. Where does the time go? I took some pics at the event thinking I would save some of the craziness the first day of school brings. Cutter really liked his room and even found his name under the "C". WHEW! His teacher is named Mrs. Munoz and we already have some homework. Actually, I will call it a little project, an "All About Me" kinda thing for Cutter. The scrapbooker in me is looking forward to it! I guess the countdown is on. I have 3 more days to spoil my first born before I really have to share him with the world on Monday. :( Hmmmmm....any ideas???

Down....BUT not out!!!

HOORAY for Walgreens and a miracle!!! I got my pics from my disposable AND my miracle was that the memory card in our camera pulled through so I still got my pics that I had taken before the big spill!!! I'm officially back in business tomorrow because the new camera should be arriving then. :) THANK YOU COLLIN!!!

Anyway, just wanted to post some pics to show you how much fun the boys had in Tucson. It was awesome weather and good family together time. I can't wait to do it again!

TUCSON HIGHLIGHTS

We finally got Cutter into the pool. (He said he was a big boy just like his friends Dax and Jace.)

The professional photographer who wanted to take pics of our kids because they were so cute playing in the splash fountain. (Can't wait to see those pics!)

Cutter pooping in the Marriott potty!!! (Those of you who know this was a BIG deal!)

Christian's face when he saw Spongebob in the lobby.

BYE BYE SUMMER!!!

The family that plays together....stays together!!!

So I might be a little addicted now to my little project, and even find myself up in the middle of the night planning out my next blog entry. SICK! Anyway, I knew our little family getaway to Tucson was coming up and I couldn't wait knowing it would be a great entry. If I only knew....

We left Friday to this fabulous JW Marriott in Tucson! It was beautiful and I could only imagine the fabulous pics I would get. As the ideas were spinning in my head I seriously was giddy! Anyway we headed right to the pool, took some pics, kids played in the splash fountain, took some pictures. Saturday headed to the pool bright and early took lots of pics! We found the slide and lazy river which led to excellent photo ops, and then the unthinkable...I freakin' fell down the stairs by the bridge to the slide, while holding Christian, and PLOP the camera goes into the pool!!! I knew then my long awaited Tucson entry was no more the glory I imagined it to be. :(

Anyway, not to be outdone by this little setback and some serious bruises I rallied and bought the old school disposable. Totally weird not being able to see the picture after you take it or for that matter having technology in your hand where you can delete or keep. So I was granted 27 pics and did my best to create some magic. We'll see what happens...I guess you can look forward to part 2 of this.

The upside we definitely played!!! Lots of swimming, eating, and drinking!!! Well, reasonably of course, we did have kids! ;) Tucson was AWESOME and I think one of the best times we've had traveling as a family! Who knew?!

How do I LOVE thee...let me count the ways.....

Ok, so since I tackled 2 of my 3 boys yesterday, I thought today is all about COLLIN! Lucky him, he gets his own entry! I'm sure he's flattered!

FIRST I love, love, love this guy! Definitely don't say it enough but I DO, and totally appreciate the life he has given to me! He works hard (sells medical devices used in surgeries) and let me tell you looks HOT in a pair of scrubs! We've been together 12 years, married 6 of them, and I could not be happier!!!

We've done lots of things together and the best by far is raising a family together. If my boys can turn out like their dad, then ladies get in line!!!

Now, let's count the ways I love him....here's my top 10 reasons why I truly love him!!!

10. He never complains when he comes home to no dinner, a dirty wife, dirty children, and dirty house!!! Some days just don't go as planned.
9. He would rather me wear no make up and pull my hair in a ponytail.
8. He is the same person no matter what situation he is in. He is true to his character.
7. His sarcastic and dry sense of humor. LOVE IT!!!
6. He is supportive when he's heard it all before. I don't follow through all the time.
5. He doesn't tell me no. Which comes in handy for girls dinners, girls trips, and boot camps.
4. His enjoyment being a family man.
3. He is an amazing father.
2. He is an unbelievable husband.
1. His faith in God.

Collin, you are the best blessing ever and I love you!!! MUAH!!!

The Joys of Boys!

So true it is...our boys are joys!!! Well, here we are at Day 2, and what a better entry then updated pics of the Kennedy Boys. Cutter and Christian are the best of friends and the worst of enemies. They can go from either in a matter of minutes too!

Cutter turned 4 in March and is a very sweet and mellow kid. He's been busy this summer with swim lessons, school, and gymnastics. Cutter starts pre-K in about a week and is looking forward to having a blue backpack. I don't know that I am ready for it, but Collin reminds me that I will be okay for all of the 2 1/2 hours he will be gone in the AM. :) Silly but it's crazy how fast the time goes! Cutter seems to capture everyone's heart he meets with his quiet demeanor.

Enter Christian our freakin' firecracker!!! I am not kidding when I say this...he is crazy, and the opposite of Cutter. It's also funny how people notice this pretty quickly. Christian turned 2 in April and is ALL BOY!!! He is rough, tough, and keeps us on our toes! We love his little mischievous eyes when he knows he is testing the limits. We are in for some good times with this one!

I guess if I had to sum it up with sports, Cutter will be our golfer and Christian will be our football player. Looking forward to all the "joys" our boys will offer us!!!

OK...I can't believe I did it!!!

SO...thanks to some new friends....you know who you are...I have once again been sucked into technology and am going to attempt to maintain a blog. I got a FB account reluctantly, and now I can't believe I am doing this! Please join me on this journey!

I guess in the grand scheme of things it will be a good way to let those of you who we don't get to see often or for that matter even get to talk to that much, a way to see/read what's up in our world. I guess I am a little excited and will do my best to keep our life interesting to you!!!

With that said...let's go for it!!! Well for starters the pic I posted is from 2007 and was taken in Maui. The boys were 2 (Cutter) and 6 months (Christian). I guess I will admit to those of you who don't know, I am a little vain, so if there is a pic I don't like it doesn't usually see the light of day. This one I like and I now have short hair so it is the one I chose to represent Collin and I. The boys aside from being bigger, really look the same to me. Crazy! I will however post recent pics of them and maybe even me. MAYBE!!!

I'll take this first entry as a success and hopefully you will be lured back to check out whatever I decide is share worthy. Let me tell you me and my 3 boys are more than entertaining!!!

TA TA!!
