3 CHRISTMASES

CHRISTMAS 1...DURANGO, CO

So, our first Christmas was in Durango with the cousins. They were hoping to be in Hawaii with Uncle Chris (pilot) so we weren't going to see them. We thought...why not a "white" Christmas...so we did presents with them on our ski trip!!! Cutter was still feeling the skiing mojo, therefore he continued to wear his goggles. :)

Here they are playing with some of the goods...

CHRISTMAS 2...SCOTTSDALE, AZ

Next, we had Christmas Eve with Collin's parents and Uncle Kane and soon to be new Aunt Ellen. They were not able to make the ski trip so the boys indulged some more, and opened presents with them.

I think they had more fun wrestling with Uncle Kane.

CHRISTMAS 3...CAMP VERDE, AZ

Finally, we finished off the Christmas weekend and headed up to my parents house on Christmas day. Cutter could not believe it when he got there and saw the Christmas tree decorated with straws just for him!!! Christmas could have been over for him right then. :)

We also got a visit from Santa! Christian LOVED it...Cutter...well the picture speaks for itself!

OH, and of course more presents!!!

Christmas is now over and I need a new house for all the stuff!!! THANK YOU everyone for the great gifts and good times!!!

SKIING & SLEDDING & SNOW ANGEL...OH MY!!!

We had some fab skiers...

Oh, and let's not forget our super sledders...

These kiddos had some serious energy! After skiing all day they would come home and finish the rest of the day off with sledding. Cutter could not get enough of his purple disc sled!!!

OH, and let's not forget our snow angel!!!

We LOVE the snow!!!

DURANGO '09-Our day 1 SURPRISE!!!

It is that time of year again, and we just got back from our Kennedy ski trip to Durango, CO. It was another great time of snow, sledding, skiing, and family fun! This year was by far the best year yet...we are still a little surprised at what happened!

WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT...you wonder???

Look who wanted to go skiing!!!

We could not believe Cutter was serious! He spent all morning saying he wanted to ski. Even after we explained to him that riding the chairlift was NOT skiing, he was still on board. SO...off to half day ski school he went!

REALLY???...He is doing this!!!

HE IS DOING THIS!!!

He made it through most of it, and we were told he did pretty good. HOORAY for Cutter!!! We were so proud of him for taking the chance and giving it his all!

HMMMM...would he stick with it???

GINGERBREAD HOUSES-PRE K STYLE

That's right, it was Cutter's school party today and we made some gingerbread houses! Christian even got his own plate to make his own. Cutter was a true architect and Christian just wanted to EAT! He downed some m & m's, gumdrops, hershey kisses, and washed it all down with some nice sugary juice!

It was a MMM....MMM...GOOD party!!!

It's 3 AM, I am lonely...

Well if that little diddy by Matchbox 20 doesn't sum up my morning, I don't know what does. That's right, I was up at 3 AM and lonely because Collin and Christian were headed to...

Poor Christian woke up hacking/coughing and had some trouble breathing, so after dealing with something similar with Cutter at 9 months, Collin and him were off to the ER. The diagnosis was croup. I guess he was on the more serious end of this particular virus. Sooo, after some breathing treatments, medicine, a popsicle, some cartoons, and orange juice they were out the door with a prescription. Time will tell I guess...

Mad props to Collin though for coming through with some pics on the phone!!! I think he has my sickness where everything now has blog potential. :) Emergency room visits definitely count as blog worthy!!!

Looks like our weekend will be filled with lots of rest and relaxation!!!

Fraser and Winter Park

During this trip to Colorado we had the perfect balance of doing stuff and hanging out. One activity was to head to Fraser, CO and Winter Park for the day. We did a little snow tubing and sight seeing. Not going to lie...I thought the whole snow tubing thing would be the best time, but I was freakin' freaked out once we got there. It was icy, fast, and steep! I am totally one to shy away from adventure, so thank goodness for mi amigo in fright, Cutter! It helped he wasn't too into speeding down the slope to his death either. SOOOO...I played the mom card for awhile..."Oops, sorry guys, I have to stay with Cutter. You all go ahead...have fun...dying!" Once again there was good weather, so it was easy to just hang out and be a spectator. I did man up and managed to fight my fear, but Cutter...not a chance! I will admit it was a great time!!! OH...needless to say Christian was his usual crazy self and totally on board with sliding to his death! WEEEEEEE....

I am not surprised by this AT ALL!!!

Now...my little engine who could...

Or not...I think he's saying "Bye dad...I will just see you when you get back!"

FINALLY...not to be outdone by my 2 year old...

That's right...we were off...next up...WINTER PARK!!!

Had I known how cool Winter Park was going to be we would have eaten lunch there and spent more time checking it out. It's a cool little ski town tucked in the side of the mountain. Totally cute little village, and strangely enough lots more snow than Fraser. I say strange because literally they are minutes apart...we are talking down the street kinda thing. Also crazy was by the time we left our nice weather I swear I saw a 20 something degree number when we were getting out of the car to start our Winter Park voyage. BRRRRRR....was all I could say so it was a fast visit. Sorry Winter Park we'll definitely come back to see you!!!

Hmmmm....where did all this snow come from???

FAMILY PHOTO OPS...

Gotta have a family pic in the snow!!!

Again...it wouldn't be complete without a tasty treat for Christian...this cookie lasted him the whole ride home!!!

The picture doesn't do the cookie justice. It was HUGE!

Greg and Kizra, thanks for another great day in Colorado!
