HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

WOO HOO...we had a great Halloween this year! FINALLY the kids were into it, we had family and friends over and trick or treated until the kids said stop! One of the best parts was Cutter finally made his own costume choice and went for a traditional ghost...we're talkin' plain white sheet with eyes cut out costume! LOVED IT!!! Good times were had...lots of candy intake...so please look at the pics with this simple warning...not for those with a weak stomach!!!

The Carnival Comes to Town!

So I wasn't too sure if this was going to make it to blog entry status...but it did!!! This past weekend the traveling carnival came to town and we got in on some of the carney action! As I was taking some pics and looking at them (thank you to the digital camera) they weren't really looking too great. They were blurry and seemed yucky so I didn't think I had anything to share. Well, I guess there were some pics that turned out alright...so why not share!

We hit the carnival on Friday due to Collin's suggestion. (I was a bit surprised and reluctant, but went happily with my purell in my hand.) YES I AM A FREAK!!! I MEAN HAVEN'T YOU HEARD OF THE SWINE FLU!!! Actually, I just imagine the filth!!! Ok, moving on...

We had a watcher....

And a doer....

Are you surprised??? We were able to get Cutter on some rides, and luckily Christian didn't have any height problems on the ones he wanted. Pics we missed due to the previously mentioned yuckiness were...Christian's first kid roller coaster, the big giant yellow slide, and fun house.

Now, what do you do when you run out of money...you make your own fun!

We made it home sanitized and happy!

When did it happen???

Seriously, someone please tell me when my 1st baby got old enough to have a parent teacher conference??? I don't know where the time went, but he had one today. So, after the conference, I started feeling a little nostalgic and started looking through pics to see exactly where the time went. Cutter was our first baby and as new parents we could not have asked for a better baby, toddler, and now I guess child. He has always had a very calm and mellow demeanor. Sometimes I am so taken back at just how sweet he is. It's so reassuring to know others see the same, as his teacher reiterated today. All went well for our first conference and needless to say he can have a gold star from us for being such a good boy at school!

Cutter, we love you and are soooo excited to see what path you take as you grow. We look forward to all the stages of your life and know this is only the beginning of great things! You are truly one of our greatest blessings from God!

Again...I say....where does the time go???

GAME DAY part 2....ASU GAME!!!

HOORAY for ASU! It was an awesome game ending play that ASU made to beat Washington! So glad the boys were there to see it. We stayed for all 4 quarters, and by the time we got home and kids in bed it was midnight. They were terrific fans and stayed awake until we made it back home. PARTY ANIMALS!

They got to experience it all...tailgating...pregame festivities...yummy football snacks...and lots of cheering! This was Cutter's 2nd game and Christian's 1st, but he was way into it. They got a little squirmy during the second quarter but luckily one of my good good friends...Tracy...was there with her fam so we hiked on over to her section and the kids got to run around with her kids and burn some energy. (How did I miss that picture opportunity?) OH WELL...it was so great to see them!!! Thanks to them we were able to make it through the last 2 quarters peacefully and happily! :)

The boys slept in late this AM...woke up at 9:45...and we headed off to church. They were still chanting A..S..U...and when I picked Cutter up from his church class the teacher made sure to tell me that they heard all about the ASU game! HYSTERICAL!

Cutter and Christian at the tailgate.

Just enjoying some licorice...a bribe to keep them seated.

Christian, so focused on the game.
We had a blast and I am sure we have made the boys ASU fans for life...or I should hope at least for this season anyway!
GO DEVILS!!!

GAME DAY!!!

That's right we had our first soccer game this morning...not cool by any means...but lots of fun! After we found the field and got settled, it was just the right time for Christian to freak out because he wasn't going to get to play. AWESOME! I knew it was coming but you never can be too prepared for one of Christian's fits. When he is unhappy and wants his way, he does not back down. So...luckily Collin was able to mellow him out and he was happy on the sidelines, as long as he was with Daddy. :) (Due to some coaching craziness, Collin is now able to be a regular parent on the sideline without the stress of any coaching.) WHEW...now we are ready to watch Cutter with no distractions.

Good times watching a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds running around aimlessly. That was our team...the other team...well let's just say this was not their first time. They were good, and we were totally outscored. However, it was too cute watching the kids try to get it together. I think we are having an extra practice this week. David Beckham will not be worried about his job this week. :)

Weather was ridiculously hot for this time of year, so Cutter was ready for the game to be over. I am sure just so he could partake in this activity...

Good news, Christian got some too, so we escaped that meltdown. At the end of the game Cutter said he did awesome and I agreed! I would say the first game was a success for him! We are looking forward to a great soccer season!

WOO HOO...The Time Has Finally Come!!!

S-P-O-R-T-S!!! That's right we have entered the arena of youth soccer!!! We have toyed with the idea of sports since Cutter was 3...but finally...like everything else...the right time always comes. What I have found with Cutter is that timing is key with him. He has a very mellow personality and I have learned not too push, and let me tell you it works beautifully with him! The time has now come and Collin decided that soccer was the first sport Cutter should attempt. We figured all you gotta do is run, so how hard can it be to pick up? It is PERFECT!

Here's our little soccer player all geared up and ready to go!

What makes this even better is Collin is on board for helping out as an assistant coach! He almost took on coach because we didn't have a coach...but luckily someone came in which took the pressure off Collin. He would have done it, but when it's a sport you never did growing up I am sure it could become an overwhelming task. (especially when you add in 10, 3 and 4 year olds) :) So, hear I sit at home (with a sleeping 2 year old) anxiously awaiting their arrival home to hear how it all went! Who knows...maybe we will have the next David Beckham!!!

My dad...my coach...I love him!!!

FORT VERDE DAYS!

This past weekend we went up to my parents house and we were lucky enough to be there for Camp Verde's "Fort Verde Days". I think it's a celebration of the town, and if anything it gave us an activity to do while we were there. It started with a town parade and then a carnival. Small town fun was had by all!!!

The parade was entertaining...I will say with some surprise. The people in the parade were handing out or really throwing out candy so the boys were all over that. There's nothing like candy at 9:30 in the morning!!! YUM!!!

Next, we moved on to the carnival and there were lots of rides and fun for the boys. Cutter was done after 2 rides (SHOCKER) but Christian could have gone all day over and over...even after a ride called "The Tornado"!

"The Tornado" was Collin's idea and I was trying my best to not be the uptight mom/wife...but seriously I couldn't believe Collin really thought Christian was old enough for this ride! After numerous over the fence conversations with Collin (including the make sure you can grab him if he starts shifting about in his seat convo.) I lost and they went.

Of course our wild child LOVED it!!!
1 point for Daddy and an I told you so for Mommy.

The afternoon came to an end with a final meltdown for Christian which involved many ear piercing screams, lots of falling on the ground, and plenty of crying all the way back to the car. It was sooooo LOVELY!!! Anyway...we made it back to home base and peace was restored.

GREAT WAY TO SPEND A SATURDAY IN CAMP VERDE!!!

Good morning FUN!

So what do you do when you have a fabulous morning...you wait for Cutter to be done with school (he had a 1/2 day)...you find some friends...then you head to...

Today we met up with our friends the Similovci Family. We met them when our oldest boys were born and we both ended up in the NICU together. Our families have managed to stay in touch and we try to get together when we can. Krispy Kreme had an awesome patio so we got to sit outside and the boys could go crazy!

Cutter and Christian had never been, so I thought they would be in heaven with all the sugary choices. I was right...

We'll definitely have to go back soon!
