Palm Springs 2013

Well...we tried something new for our last vacay of the summer, and not sure it panned out.  We did have a good time, but it started out a little rough.  We got into town at 3, check in was at 4, we ended up waiting almost two hours before we could get in our room!  Not easy...we tried to pass the time with swimming, a margarita, and snow cones, but after driving 4 hours, we just wanted to get settled.  Once we did get in our room, it was PHAT, but don't think it was enough to sell Collin yet.  Thank goodness we ended up at a great place for dinner...BURGERS AND BEER...I know, perfect, right!  It saved the evening, and we were ready to take on the rest of the trip in true vacay style.  Pretty much, we swam, chilled, played on golf course (luckily right outside our PHAT room), and ate some good food!  It all worked out, and kids had a blast, but we will mark it off our list, and add it to our "one hit wonder" of places to go.

Sea Life

Today, my parents came down, and we hit the Sea Life Aquarium...had some so so food, an icee, and some DQ!  I'm happy to mark this place off, and it makes our list of "one hit wonder" places to go.  No cameras allowed, so I only snuck a few.  Thanks papaw and nana for coming!

Whew...I am happy to stick a fork in this 4th of July LOOONNNNGGG weekend!  I'll admit, I tried to convince Collin to go somewhere, since he was off work.  Shock of all shocks, this time he didn't bite.  I was so afraid we would be BORED to bits, with 5 days to ourselves.  BUT...lo and behold, we were BUSY, and had a really good 4th holiday!  Now, had I just taken some decent pics...my one regret!  There's no way to spice this post up, so here's a few pics I did take. 

FIREWORKS...we did take in Anthem's fireworks with some friends.

We also went to a BBQ, and had a good time with some store bought fireworks!

We broke ground in the sleepover department.

The kids had a friend sleepover on Wed., and then after another BBQ, they spent the night over on Saturday with the same friend.  I kinda like the idea that they went together.

However, so not ready to call myself a fan of the sleepover, just yet.

 

These 3 got to do some bonding with Collin's dad,

and hit the Diamondbacks game on Friday.

 

Then we made sure to top it off today...

and hit Despicable Me 2.

 

I'll be looking forward to an early bedtime tonight!

Thanks to a sweet living social deal, we can now become frequent Science Center visitors.  Just another way to keep cool and active during the summer!  We took our first trip yesterday, with the Chadwick's, and had tons of FUN!

Father's Day 2013

True to Kennedy form, we had a pretty mellow day yesterday.  It was Collin's day to do whatever, and that consisted of mowing the lawn, washing the jeep, a couple trips to Home Depot, Hot Bagels for lunch, a trip to the grocery store, and watching golf.  OH, let's not forget the FAVE...a nap!

Collin, love you are so chill, and don't need much to be happy!  You are the best dad, and our boys are blessed by God to have you!  You are truly a gift!
